Police on late Sunday night released letter inviting Senator Dino Melaye for investigation on alleged homicide five months ago.
Although, Senate President, Bukola Saraki had claimed that Melaye has not been invited by the Police for interrogation.
But, the letter released by the Force Headquarters, revealed that Senator Melaye was invited by the Kogi state police command on July 23 , 2018.
The letter was addressed to clerk of the National Assembly dated July 23, but received July 24.
According to the letter, Melaye was expected to appear before the Police on 26th of July over alleged homicide.
The letter stated,”The office is investigating a case of criminal conspiracy and attempted culpable homicide reported against distinguished Senator Dino Melaye representing Kogi West Senatorial Zone.”
