French super oil major, Total, is banking on Nigeria for its target surge its output to 3 million barrels of oil equivalent per day in 2019.
The company, which will soon begin production at its 200, 000 barrels per day Egina field is, according to its Chief Executive Patrick Pouyanne, producing crude at a rate that stood at 2.8 million barrels of oil equivalent per day during the third quarter of this year.

Meanwhile, the Executive Secretary, Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB), Engineer Simbi Wabote has promised the government’s support for oil multi-nationals who adhere to the dictates on the local content growth.
He said this when he was, according to a statement by Manager Corporate Communication, NCDMB, Naboth Onyesoh, inducted as a fellow of the Institute of Petroleum Studies (IPS), University of Port Harcourt for his exceptional accomplishments in engineering, strategic management and local content leadership in the Oil and Gas Industry.
