All Councillors in Ogun State have been summoned to an emergency meeting in Abeokuta tomorrow ostensibly to sign a petition against the Ogun State Governorship All Progressives Congress (APC), candidate, Prince Dapo Abiodun.
The meeting said to have been summoned on behalf of Governor Ibikunle Amosun is to endorse a petition supporting his consensus candidate, Hon. Abdulkabir Akinlade.
The meeting summoned through a text message read “I’m directed by the Honorable Commissioner for LG/ CA , Chief Jide Ojuko to invite all the Councillors in all the Local Governments and Local Council Development Areas in Ogun State to an important meeting tomorrow Monday 29th, Oct. 2018 at the Ministry of LG and Chieftaincy Conference Hall, Obas Complex, Oke Mosan, Abeokuta at 10.00am prompt.
Inform sources said salaries of any of the Councillors who failed to sign the petition may be stopped.
