Fayose: Court adjourns till Wednesday, former governor pleads not guilty

A High Court sitting in Lagos on Monday has denied former Governor of Ekiti State Ayodele Fayose bail on an 11-count charge involving money laundering, abuse of public office, criminal breach of trust and stealing up to N6.9bn.
Fayose who was detained by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), immediately after his tenure in office arrived the court at about 8:30am.
The former Governor pleaded not guilty when his charges were read to him.
His counsel Kanu Agabi applied for bail on his behalf but was denied by presiding judge, Mojisola Olatoregun who ruled that the former governor be remanded in EFCC custody till Wednesday 24th October.
