Ogun AD gov candidate promises tackling youth unemployment

The governorship candidate of Alliance for Democracy (AD) in Ogun State, Engr.  Seyi Olufade- Olowookere has assured the teeming members of his party and Ogun  people of his perfected plans to drastically reduce youth unemployment,
revitalise education and enkindle agriculture to world standard.

Speaking recently after emerging un-opposed as the party flag-bearer in the 2019  general election, he thanked the party, the National working committee the state  Executives and the 90 special Delegates from all the local governments and the
LCDA’s, promising that he will not disappoint them both in diligent prosecution of  the election and in governing the state.

He said, “I will like to use this opportunity to thank the entire members of our great  party Alliance for Democracy especially the National Chairman, all the members of  NWC, the state party executives, the elders, the women and youths for reposing great  confidence in me to lead the party into the general election and also for your fair- mindedness in giving Ogun West the opportunity to contest on your platform after  41 years of the existence of the State”.

Speaking further, Olowookere said, “In keeping with the party manifesto, we have  perfected programs that will tackle youth unemployment, rebirth truly free world  class education and genuine integrated rural development with a view of massive
food production and raw materials for our industries”.

“Our programs will produce a minimum of 10,000 jobs within the first 6 months of  assuming office. Primary Health Care and School fee will be free while all uncompleted projects will be completed. “

Replying on behalf of the party, the national Secretary, Mr. Akin Fashogbon who  was also the chairman and the returning officer of the event expressed satisfaction  and joy in the peaceful and camaraderie approach of the candidate and the bonding  evident among party members from various parts of the states.

“On behalf of the entire Alliance for Democracy in Nigeria, I whole heatedly  congratulate you for winning the primary election of our great party. Let me state clearly, that the party is committed to working with you to make sure we are successful at the polls in 2019. Let me also express my satisfaction and joy in the way the whole exercise was conducted from the wards to the state without rancor, or divisions and I am gladdened to see the bonding and the team spirit in all the
stalwarts and leaders of the party.”

The primaries which was held at the new AD party secretariat along Abiola way, Abeokuta was supervised by INEC team consisting Alhaji T.T. Ahmed, Mrs. Jummy Omolaja and Babalola Salmod. The event was witnessed by the DSS, the Police and  gentlemen of the Press.
