Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos state has congratulated Mr Babajide Sanwoolu,who emerged as the All Progressives Congress(APC),governorship candidate after yesterday primaries pledging to support him in the task of continuing the progress of the state.
In a statewide broadcast today he said that the interest of the party is greater than the individual adding, “the progress of the state is non- negotiable”.
He urged all Lagosians to support the party’s candidate in the 2019 elections and work for its success .
Said he,”I will do everything possible to ensure a smooth transition in the remaining period of this administration and ultimately to the new Governor come May 2019″.
He also appealed to members of the APC to see the party as one family and remain united behind the candidate of the party.
Governor Ambode also thanked the national leader of the party, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and other leaders at both state and national level.
