Mimiko may defect to ZLP to pursue Presidential ambition

Few months after returning to the Labour Party from the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP), the party under which platform he contested and won the governorship of Ondo state,former Governor of Ondo state, Dr. Segun Mimiko may defect to Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) following  the refusal by the Labour Party (LP) to adopt him as Presidential candidate.

Nigeria Labour Congress the body which gave birth to the LP, had rejected the plan by former National chairman of the Labour Party, Abdulkadir Abdulsalam to adopt Olusegun Mimiko as the party’s Presidential torchbearer for the 2019 general elections.

The chairman of Zenith Labour Party (ZLP), Chief Dan Nwanyanwu who is known as an ally of Mimiko, while unveiling the party appealed to former Governor to do away with the distractions of NLC and join the party to advance his Presidential aspiration.

In a matter of few days, he may declare his intention to join Zenith Labour Party.

It will be recalled that he realised his governorship ambition on the platform of Labour party, but latter dumped the party and join Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and returned back to LP to pursue his Presidential ambition.
