This was made known in a tweet by Senate President, Bukola Saraki this evening.
Saraki said, ” I pray that the Almighty, in his infinite mercies and wisdom, gives Hon. Adedoyin’s family, constituents and all those that she has left behind the strength to bear this loss. She will be remembered for her service to the nation and to humanity, and she will be dearly missed.”
The Senate President recalled that late Hon. Funke Adedoyin was a courageous and patriotic public servant adding that over the years, as a Minister and later on, as the legislator, representing Ekiti/Isin/Irepodun/Oke-ero Federal Constituency, Funke always dedicated herself to the service of the Nigerian people.
She died today (Friday) in National Hospital, Abuja at the age of 56 years.
