There is strong indication that Prince Femi Hamzat may step-down for Babajide Sanwo-Olu in the upcoming Governorship election Primary of All Progressive Congress (APC) scheduled to hold on this week Saturday.
Both Sanwo-olu and Hamzat are aspiring for the governorship ticket of APC in Lagos State. While Sanwo-olu belonged to Mandate group of APC, Hamzat is member of Justice group.
It was gathered that Director General of Sanwo-Olu group had reached out with the members of Justice group in the party.
Also, a member of the Justice group Muiz Banire in an interview with National newspaper tactically endorsed the aspiration of Sanwo-olu for APC.
According to him, with what is happening in the party right now, if the primary were to hold today, the aspirant with the upper hand is Sanwo-olu.
He added,”With any of those two other guys, I am not worried. Take Jide for example, within the last one week, he has been able to integrate the opposing forces. He is beginning to neutralise the dichotomy, which I think is a welcome development.”
Also a picture surfaced on the internet where the Justice Forum of APC in Badagry endorsed Sanwo-Olu.
