The police in Kaduna State have apprehended suspected killers of four men of the Intelligence Response Team (IRT) and rescued a 15 years old girl abducted by kidnappers recently in the state.
The arrested criminals have been involved in several armed robberies, kidnappings and cattle rustling along Maidaro/Birnin Gwari and Zaria/Giwa axis of Kaduna State.
One AK47 rifle and two locally made guns were recovered from the suspects during the gun duel that led to their arrest.
According to a police source, the arrest was a product of a manhunt of the killers of four IRT personnel on 11th August, and the recent abduction of the 15years old Hadiza Mohammed in Giwa Local Government Area of Kaduna State on 25th August.
Operatives of the IGP-IRT in an unrelenting effort led to the arrest of four members of the kidnapping syndicate terrorising Kaduna State.
The criminals also responsible for the recent ambush and killing of four IRT personnel include Ayuba Dabo, Samaila Chiroma, Isah Bello Bahago, Haruna Jibrin a gun battle.
All suspects confessed to the recent kidnapping of the 15 year old girl and several armed robberies, kidnappings and cattle rustling in Kaduna State.

One of the arrested leaders of the group, Buhari General and one Alhaji Mamuda who also participated in the ambush and killing of the IRT personnel in Kaduna were in possession of weapons. The suspects however made further confessions which helped the IRT operatives to rescue the 15 year old.
The police also confirmed that efforts to recover more operational weapons and arrest their fleeing gang members responsible for the killing of our men is in progress.
