Osun decides: APC leads online polls

Barely 24 hours to the much awaited Osun State governorship election, an online poll conducted by NewDawn Nigeria (newdawnngr.com) has been released.

According to the online poll that began two weeks ago, the three top candidates were projected and online voters took turns to vote their favourite parties.

The top three featured on the site poll include the candidate of the All Progressives Party (APC), Alhaji Adegboyega Isiaka Oyetola, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Senator Ademola Nurudeen Adeleke and candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Senator Iyiola Omisore.

The online votes revealed that candidate of the APC pulled a total of 60.68% of total votes cast while Senator Ademola Adeleke of the Peoples Democratic Party scored 26.50% and candidate of the Social Democratic Party, Senator Iyiola Omisore finished at a distant third position scoring 12.82%.

If the outcome of the actual election on Saturday stand like the above, the APC may be returned as winners on Sunday morning.

The last few weeks have witnessed massive electioneering campaigns and debates across the south western state and candidates have given series of promises to woo the electorate.
