Adebutu may emerge Ogun governorship candidate of PDP

Despite the struggle for the soul of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ogun State,  between two factions, only one person has so far declared his intention to contest for the Governorship ticket of the party in the forthcoming party primaries.
Although the National Executive Council of the party has so far
recognized the Alhaji Sikirulai Ogundele led faction believed to be loyal to the only Governorship aspirant, Hon Oladipupo Adebutu, the other faction led by Engr. Bayo Dayo, loyal to Senator Buruji Kashamu is not relenting in the struggle to gain control through the courts.

Senator Buruji Kashamu is currently representing Ogun East while Hon. Oladipupo Adebutu is also in the Houuse of Representatives representing Sagamu/Ikenne/ Remo North Federal Constituency also in Ogun East Senatorial District Informed sources who confirmed that Hon. Adebutu has indeed obtained the form however told newdawnngr.com that he would be contesting from Odogbolu Local Government also in the Ogun East Senatorial District to avoid the Remo area of the state which had produced Governor Olugbenga Daniel.
His present Sagamu/Ikenne is in the Remo axis of the Senatorial District while Odogbolu is in Ijebu axis in the same District.
Although Sen. Buruji Kashamu has also been rumored to be interested in contesting, his expulsion may be an albatross and no member of his faction is known to have declared the intention to run nor obtained the forms or that of expression of interest.
Hon. Adebutu has shown his hands quite early touring various communities and buying transformers for those with electricity
problems and sinking bore holes for those with potable water issues.
Born in 1962, Adebutu was first elected into the House Reps in 1992 under the aegis of the Social Democratic Party representing Remo Federal Constituency. He also ran for the Senate under the defunct United National Congress Party [UNCP ]in 1998.
