Ashiru resigns from Amosun’s cabinet to pursue his Governorship ambition

through  his “consensus list” of Aspirants in the State  Chapter of
the All Progressive Congress  APC suffered a setback as the State
Commissioner for Commerce and Industry , Otunba Bimbo Ashiru resigned
to pursue his governorship ambition.
Ashiru is not the preferred candidate of Governor Amosun and did not
make the list.
Although a source close to Ashiru said that he resigned out of
frustration because of alleged intimidation despite the fact that he
still have until after the primaries before resigning.
He was said to have felt no longer unwanted because he had been tipped
by political watchers to succeed Amosun considering their closeness
and his achievements in the Ministry of Commerce and Industry which
was said to have attracted a lot of investors to the state.
Ashiru  who was several months ago announced as the consensus
candidate of Ogun East Senatorial District by some elders in the
Senatorial District has left no one in doubt about his readiness to
contest for the exalted office.
He has seen obtained his nomination form which informed sources said
he has since filled and returned the form to the national Secretariat.
