Nigeria’s Super Eagles this afternoon walloped their Indian Ocean hosts, the Pirates of Seychelles, 3 nill to restart their 2019 AFCON qualifiers on a positive note.
The encounter at the Stade Linite in Seychelles on Saturday proved the Nigerians’ superiority over the islanders.
The Eagles’ campaign is now back on track after a convincing maximum three points far away from home.
The win on Saturday is a good development to keep hope alive after a home defeat by South Africa in
Uyo on Matchday 1 in June 2017.
Nigerian World Cup star, Ahmed Musa, Chidozie Awaziem and Odion Ighalo saw the Super Eagles pick up their first win of the qualifiers, with new comer Samuel Kalu playing as ‘thorn in the flesh’ of the hosts’ defence.
Debutant, Samuel Kalu may be a player to watch in subsequent matches.
