APC Presidential Campaign: Preparations intensify at Kaduna stadium

Campaigning

Preparations are intensifying at the Kaduna Ranchers Bees Stadium ahead of the All Progressives Congress (APC) North West presidential campaign launch scheduled for Saturday in Kaduna.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that a visit to the stadium on Monday where access was restricted, showed workers mounting billboards and installing decorations ahead of the event.

The inaugural event is expected to attract President Bola Tinubu, APC National leaders, governors and other party stakeholders across the country.

The preparations follow assurances by the Kaduna State APC that it is ready to host the President and party supporters for the commencement of the campaign ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The party’s State Publicity Secretary, Mr Muhammad Sani, said at a recent briefing that Kaduna was prepared to receive Tinubu and other party leaders, describing the choice of the state as the campaign’s starting point as significant.

“There is no better city the president could have chosen than Kaduna. With his choice of Kaduna, we have no doubt that the march to victory has started,” Sani said.

He said the party was mobilising supporters across the state under the leadership of Gov. Uba Sani, with the aim of attracting hundreds of thousands of people to welcome the President.

He also expressed confidence that the APC would deliver two million votes for Tinubu in Kaduna in the coming 2027 presidential election.

Sani assured visitors attending the campaign of a peaceful and harmonious environment, adding that the state would play a leading role in the party’s efforts to secure Tinubu’s re-election.

NAN reports that the APC proposed campaign itinerary showed that Kaduna is one of the 12 states in the six geopolitical zones to be visited by President Tinubu in person for campaigns.

Other states include Rivers, Plateau, Oyo, Borno, Enugu, Bauchi, Sokoto, Delta, Adamawa and Lagos.(NAN)
