The University of Ibadan (UI) has appointed seventeen retired professors as Professors Emeriti, in recognition of their distinguished contributions to scholarship, teaching and research across various disciplines.
The appointments confer on the retired academics the title of Emeritus Professor.
The newly appointed Professors Emeriti represent a broad range of disciplines spanning the Sciences, Medicine, Education, Social Sciences, Pharmacy, Veterinary Medicine and Environmental Studies.
The appointees are:
Professor Alexander Bababunmi Odaibo — Zoology
Professor Rotimi Ayodele Oderinde — Chemistry
Professor Matthew Shokunbi — Anatomy
Professor Ambrose EmilolOrun Aiyelari — Soil Resources Management
Professor Adenike Elizabeth Emeke — Institute of Education
Professor Adegoke Gbadegesin Falade — Paediatrics
Professor Helen Okihaofe Osinowo — Psychology
Professor Oladimeji Oladepo — Health Promotion and Education
Professor Kolawole Timothy Jaiyeoba — Pharmaceutics and Industrial Pharmacy
Professor Stephen Akpavie — Veterinary Pathology
