Nollywood actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele is celebrating her 49th birthday with a prayer for good health, long life, peace and the grace to continue living with purpose.
In a birthday post, Akindele expressed gratitude to God for her experiences, including the lessons, successes, mistakes and challenges she has encountered through different seasons of her life.
She said her faith had remained a source of strength, helping her rise from difficult moments, learn and continue moving forward.
“Today, my prayer is simple. That God blesses me with good health, long life, peace and the grace to keep walking in purpose,” Funke Akindele said.
She also prayed for her life to have an impact beyond herself by supporting other people and nurturing talents.
“I pray that my life continues to mean something beyond me. That I can touch more lives, open more doors, nurture more talents, raise more stars and give others the opportunity to become everything God has called them to be,” she said.

Akindele said she hoped to continue giving back, growing and inspiring others to believe, dream and persevere.
“May I never stop giving back. May I never stop growing. May my life remain a testimony, and may the way I live inspire others to believe, to dream and to keep going,” she said.
The actress recently announced December 11 as the cinema release date for her new film, The Four: No One Fights Alone.
The film stars Funke Akindele, Bisola Aiyeola, Chioma Akpotha, Richard Mofe Damijo (RMD), Timini Egbuson, Lateef Adedimeji, Ali Nuhu, Uzor Arukwe, Ronke Oshodi Oke, Antar Laniyan and Wunmi Toriola.
It also features singer Waje, Afrobeats star Shoday and entertainment personalities Samuel Banks, Kolapo Omotosho and Ayomide Iwasokun.
