The Senate has confirmed the nomination of Muttagha Rabe Darma as a minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, following his screening in the Committee of the Whole.
Darma’s confirmation comes barely 48 hours after the removal of Ahmed Musa Dangiwa from the Federal Executive Council.

The red chamber wasted little time sealing the appointment after the screening exercise.
Senate President Godswill Akpabio, who presided over exercise, charged the new minister to prioritise the provision of affordable housing for Nigerians and tackle the growing challenge of abandoned housing projects across the country.
Akpabio also congratulated President Tinubu for what he described as “fishing out” Darma, expressing confidence in his capacity to deliver on the administration’s housing agenda. (The Sun)
