Hon Taiwo Orisalade
A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State, Rt. Hon Orisalade Adetunji Taiwo, who was a former Deputy Speaker of the House of Assembly had advised all APC members in the State to thread with caution in view of the forthcoming Governorship Primaries.
According to him, the unity of the Party and continuity of the its rule in the State ranks prior over any other interests.
He advised on the consolidation upon the relative peace and achievements of governance in the last seven years in the State, emphasizing that their utterances and actions should not crack the Party to give way to the opposition. According to him, no Government can meet the aspirations of the people, all at the same time and there are opportunities for future improvements.
The APC Government in the State, he opined, is trying its best to care for Ekitikete.
He cautioned against violent utterances and actions that could endanger the peace in the State, advising the Gubernatorial Aspirants to go about their activities within the rules as enshrined in the Party’s Constitution.
In his opinion, he sees nothing against the continuity of Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s rule in the State so as to improve upon the gains achieved thus far. He urged Ekitikete to rally round the Government to savour more the Dividends of Democracy as any disruptions could occasion a drawback in governance.
