The Rivers State Police Command has announced a temporary restriction on human and vehicular movement across the state on August 30, ahead of the local government elections.
According to the command, the restriction will be in effect from 12 midnight to 6 pm on Saturday.
In a statement, the command’s Public Relations Officer, Grace Iringe-Koko, urged residents to “cooperate fully with security agencies to ensure a smooth, peaceful, and hitch-free electoral process.
The statement also notes that the Police are committed to maintaining law and order before, during, and after the elections.
