Yoruba Elders intervene in Abiodun,Daniel feud

Some prominent Yoruba Elders have taken steps towards intervening  in the face-off between Ogun state Governor Dapo Abiodun and a serving Senator and former Governor, Gbenga Daniel.

The duo it will be recalled have engaged in bitter quarrel which culminated in the threat by the sitting Governor to issue demolition notice of the former Governors properties for allegedly violating exact Town Planning rules .

As a result, Senator Daniel Saturday raised alarm on what he described as political persecution an accusation which was neither denied by the governor.

Sources close to the Elders revealed to Newdawnngr.com that the move involves prominent traditional rulers from the Yoruba states.

Said he,”Steps have been taken by some Yoruba notable including Olori alade gbogbo in the land to resolve the issue in the larger interest of the race.”

He said all efforts are being made on all fronts to resolve the lingering disagreement which dated back to the last election in the country.

Ironically, both of them are both Ijebu land and also belong to same political party.

Besides, both are said to be making separate moves to contest the senatorial election in 2027 an issue which will make them struggle for the ticket of the party in the state.
