Buhari regarded me as his friend and opened his doors freely to me at almost no notice.
In all my dealings with Buhari, he demonstrated genuine loyalty to friendship and, at all times, his words were his bonds. He was a most dependable gentleman of his days.
When last I met him in his Daura home, I saw the strength and the physic of a spot’s man and with the colour of a most healthy life in his face, I concluded inside me that the retirement from Presidency had made him much younger than his age.
I’m most shocked by the news of his passing.
