Nestlé Nigeria has reaffirmed its commitment to empowering young individuals by investing over N6 billion in youth empowerment and skill development over the past decade.
The company’s Technical Training Centre (TTC) in Agbara recently graduated ten trainees, bringing the total number of graduates to over 190 since the program’s inception.
The graduates completed an 18-month course that combines practical and theoretical engineering education and were awarded the City and Guilds of London Technicians’ Certification.
This certification significantly boosts their employability, and an impressive 97% of graduates from the program have been employed within Nestlé Nigeria.
Nestlé Nigeria’s Managing Director/CEO, Mr. Wassim Elhusseini, emphasized the company’s commitment to upskilling young minds and empowering them to excel. The company’s dedication to youth empowerment is also evident in its broader youth engagement platform, Nestlé Needs YOUth, which aims to facilitate youth access to economic opportunities.
