The spate of civil unrest which erupted in Agosasa Township in Ipokia local government area of Ogun state has extended to Imasai town ,in the Yewa North local government area of Ogun state where the reigning monarch,Oba Lukman Kuoye has fled his Palace.
Both Imasai and Agosasa are in the Ogun West senatorial District of the state which is poised to get the All Proggressives Congress, APC,slot in the forthcoming 2027 governorship elections in the state.
Political insinuations are being rwas into the Crisis which has extended to monarchs in the Senatorial zone being on the side of one of the leading aspirants.
Investigations by Newdawnngr.com revealed that the on going restiveness started in Thursday when Oba Kuoye accused some youth of abusing his wife (Olori).
As a result sources said he instructed his men to rough handle and maltreat these youths which led to a fight.
In the ensuing melee,one of the boys who allegedly abused the Olori ,Sakiru Alaluwo,was attacked with local charms by one,Jimoh Osoalu aka Jimoh Goboi and two of the Kabiyesi aides Chief Bolarinwa Ewulo and one Rafiu Durosinmi, the son of the Chief Priest in the town,leaving him
unconscious.
Besides,one Adams Orisasami Who was caught filming the incident was also given the beatsn of his life and also fell unconscious.
Goboi is believed to be one of the aides of the monarch.
It was gathered that when Orisasami vicmm fell unconscious he was been taken to the Palace by the protesting people.
It was gathered that after waiting endlessly for the antidote and could not get anye victim was taken to the Federal Medical Centre,Joga Orile for treatment.
However,residents and Others in the local government are pointing accusing fingers at some politicians in the area working for Senators Solomon Adeola towards the 2027 governorship elections of precipitating the Crisis.
In an Interview with Newdawnngr.com,Raheem Ajayi,aka Baglo,a political stalwart in the area being fingered in the crisis described such insinuations as untrue and has nothing to do with politics.
Said he,”It’s not true. Kabiyesi has issue with some youth. He said his wife was insulted and he ordered for them to be beaten. Local charm was used on one of them. The boy is fighting for his life. I am not even in Imasayi. How could I have been behind it? He queried.
The development it was gathered has led the Oba taking to his heels as the rampaging Youths took over the palace.
A Resident who wish to be anonymous ask Law enforcement agents to step in adding,”Events unfolding are disheartening. People who have the ears of Oba Kuoye should please talk to him before things degenerate further.”.
