The Nigerian Railway Corporation,NRC, has suspended the scheduled operations on WARRI – ITAPKE TRAIN SERVICE (WITS) over Governorship election holding in Kogi on Saturday.
INEC it will be recalled is conducting Off-Cycle governorship polls in Bayelsa, Imo and Kogi on November.
Announcing the development in a statement signed by the management, NRC urged its numerous customers to bear with the corporation adding that operations would resume on Sunday.
“This is to inform the general public, most especially our esteemed passengers that there will be No train operations on WARRI – ITAPKE TRAIN SERVICE (WITS) Saturday 11/11/2023 due to movement restriction in kogi state because of the Governorship election.
“The train operation will resume back on Sunday 12/11/2023. The management of the Nigerian Railway Corporation regret any inconveniences.
“Thank you for your patronage.”
