Says thank you to CUAB VC
It was a thing of joy both for him and his mentors,when Abayomi Adisa, who at one time,was a former producer with the Television Continental,TVC, but now a senior Journalist with the prestigious British Broadcasting Corporation,BBC returns home to his root- the Crescent University Abeokuta.
It was a return to the warm embrace of his mentors led by the Head of Department of Mass Communication,Dr Kola Adesina, who proudly led Adisa to the Vice Chancellor, Professor Ibraheem Gbajabiamila.

What is more, for an alumnus of the Institution who topped his class of 2019 with a First Class, it was a glorious home coming and thing of pride for one of its best products working with the British Broadcasting Service (BBC Africa).
Hence for Adisa, his courtesy visit to the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Gbajabiamila, was in appreciation of knowledge gained from the university.
Adisa who paid the courtesy call on the Vice Chancellor in company with his chief mentor,Dr Kola Adesina, Head of Department, it was a moment to show gratitude for the discovery of his talent by the Ivory Tower and his attainment.
Besides,he was recently promoted to the position of Senior Journalist for BBC Africa.

Narrating how he got the employment few years ago, Adisa explained that one of the assignments he underwent as an undergraduate at the University founded by late Jurist,Prince Bola Ajibola, helped him sail through the employment of the BBC.
The Vice Chancellor was joined in receiving him by Director of Special Duties, Mr Oladejo Azeez and Senior Assistant Registrar (Public Relations), Mr Idris Katib during the presentation.
Adisa it will be recalled, is the second graduate of Mass Communication from CUAB to get a top job at BBC.
Few years back, Ajayi Adedeji who had his Bsc and Msc from CUAB also rose to become Deployments Editor (West and Southern Africa) for BBC and is currently in London.

In an interview with Newdawnngr.com,Dr Adesina attributed the success story of the institution to the knack for investment in high quality human and material resources by the late Jurist who he said spared no effort in employing the best.
According to Adesina, “it is a source of joy for a University in Abeokuta to train people getting top jobs at BBC and other acclaimed media organisations. ”
Said he,”In terms of Mass Communication, it doesn’t get higher than the BBC.

In this regards,the Founder of the University, the late Judge Bola Ajibola invested a lot in hiring quality lecturers and providing
world class equipment. “
Speaking further,he said that outstanding students and media hands like Adisa represents one of the benefits of such outlay of funds and energy of the late Judge.
“Personally for me, I was elated when Ajayi said knowledge gained from one of the assignments in my class got him the job. This is another clear testimony to the world class quality of our university’s curriculum, teaching and assessment and certification,” he declared.
