Members of the Calvary Ministries Production,CAPRO,a non denominational mission field founded decades ago have a tall ambition.

The tall ambition according to Brother Peter Omowole, the Ikeja zonal Coordinator of the World wide organisation in a chat with Newdawnngr.com is to relaunch an initiative which he said will arrest the decay in the Church and take both the Bible and the Gospel of Christ back to the church.

He said that with many end- time churches springing up all over the place, the central focus of the church has been overtaken by unwholesome attitude which has neglected preaching the word of God and salvation through the Lord Jesus Christ.

Speaking further, he said that a situation where preaching salvation and Gospel of Christ has been taken over by prosperity teaching and attitude has made most of our Churches to loose focus of the essence of their principal mission which is to reconcile man back to God.

In other to achieve this purpose,he said CAPRO has identified two areas to help in this regard- that is training and retraining their workers both for the mission field and to serve local assembly .

The training he said is to help to propagate the primary responsibility which is to spread the word of God as contained in the Bible and Christ as the focus.

The essence of this he said is to reconcile man back to God using church and the mission field as the principal element.

Referring to the several Christain missions established in Liberia -800 in all,he said CAPRO only help churches to train it’s workers and return them back to their respective churches not to use them to set up churches adding,”we don’t establish churches but help churches to train workers, ministers of the gospel, promote the Bible and the Gods kingdom .
In order words,CAPRO is out to encourage churches to set up and establish mission chapters using workers already trained to expand the reach of the church.

To achieve this aim,Omowole said the organisation help churches to train workers in areas of Discipleship, establish Diaspora missions and train in preaching the Gospel which is the principal mission of Churches neglected over the years.

Using Nigerias South Western part as an example, he observed that prevalent insecurity in the Northern part has helped the Diaspora mission aspect of the organisation to evangelise as many migrants as possible “such that when such return to the Northern parts of the country after the security situation has improved, they will take the gospel back to areas in the North yet to receive the gospel for obvious reasons”.

In essence, the prevalent insecurity in the North and migration to the south should be an advantage for churches to establish mission fields using those already concerted to aid spread of the gospel without going to the North with the prevalent cultural hinderances encountered by Southerners in preaching the Gospel.

Omowole, however added that CAPRO has over the years avoided teaching trainees doctrine as the various churches where they work are expected to follow their doctrines to avoid crisis when trainees return to their missions.

“We only place much emphasis on the Teaching of the Bible and Message of Christ to avoid been entangled with church doctrine in order to enable various churches send their workers for training in collaboration with CAPRO” he declared.

As for him,”CAPRO is much more preoccupied with the work of mission to reach more people globally and spread both the Bible ,Word of God and Christ as head of the church “.
