….Says it’s a lesson for future appellants not to bring frivolous petitions before the court

A former secretary of the National Constitutional Conference,NCC,Chief Oladipo Jimilehin,has describe Wednesdays judgement of the Presidential Election Petition Court in the petition filed by both former President Alhaji Atiku Abubakar of the People’s Democratic Party,PDP and Mr Peter Obi of Labour Party,LP, as a landmark judgement in the country.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Newdawnngr.com,the lawyer said the Justices of the Court of Appeal were quite thorough in their handling of the case.

Said he,”The erudite Court of Appeal Justices have done a wonderful job. They left no stone unturned. They have every bit of point canvassed and demolish them.”

Chief Jimilehin,a Barrister at law of over four decades observed that the justices, “have demonstrated that the judiciary is up to the task.”

“The lesson is that you can’t waste the time of the court and come with frivolous application.”

“It is so transparent that I can see that the supreme court will have no alternative than to affirm the judgement”.

Chief Jimilehin added that it is a lesson for other litigants in future matters to do their home work well.
