It was the only concert that could have rivaled Lekki Sunsplash; in fact, it was as big as Lekki in terms of array of artistes that it featured. From the likes of the Sir Victor Uwaifo, Oliver DI Coque to debutants like Junior and Pretty of Fufu Flavour fame. It paraded all of them.
The only difference was that it started off at TBS, was later held regularly at the spacious Lagos International Trade Fare Complex (LITFC) while Lekki Sunsplash was at the breezy Lekki Sunsplash tjat also provided fun lovers the opportunity immerse in the beachy water.
I am taliking of Chief Jide Adeniyi’s Poaston and its Easter Jamboree Concert. There was nothing like it. Musicians looked forward to it while it lasted.
Poaston, a printing concern with its headquartres on Oshodi-Agege Motor Road had other chains of businesses like Poatson Pleasure Ride, fast food outlet with outlets at Airport junction and in Ikeja by customs cum police colleges before both (the concert and fast food outlets went under).
