The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission, ICPC, has urged members of the public to always report cases of corruption they see, because ICPC is not a spirit and so cannot see everything.
The director, Enlightenment and Education of the ICPC, Mr. Mohammed Ashiru Baba gave this charge on Monday during a workshop programme organised for journalists covering the Commission, which was held at the Commission ‘s headquarters in Abuja.

He revealed that ICPC does not only punish, but adopts a carrot and cain approach in doing their job.
And also encourage reward system to encourage Nigerians to shun corruption and do right.
According to him, in 2019, ICPC through Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation rewarded a woman, Mrs. Josephine Ugwu, who works as a cleaner at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport Lagos for returning huge sum of money in hard currency.
He said the government bought her a house and gave her huge sum of money in appreciation.
He also talked about a policeman in Kano who rejected bribe in millions of Naira.
Ashiru revealed that currently, the Commission has tracked 424 number of projects and ensured that the jobs were executed for the use of the people it was originally meant for.
He encourage journalists to cultivate the habit of investigation so as to unravel some acts of corruption being perpetrated by unscrupulous elements of the society.
