….. Says money saved from subsidies removal will be used to provide infrastructures like health, transportation etc

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has praised the virtues of the late winner of June 12 presidential election,Chief Moshood Kashimawo Abiola and other heroes of democracy for sacrificing their yesterday for today’s democracy. He said this yesterday just as he enjoined Nigerians to continue to sacrifice in view of withdrawal of subsidy to protect democracy for which the nation is enjoying. President Tinubu in the broadcast recalled that June 12 election gas remained a watershed in the country adding that the likes of the late Pa Alfred Rewane,Kudirat Abiola and others who died must not be allowed to die in vain. According to him,that the country is celebrating the seventh cycle of election after the attainment of democracy is enough to keep hope alive adding that money saved from removal of subsidy will be used to provide transportation, health,education, roads and other amenities to improve the lives of Nigerians. He noted that the payment of subsidy has benefited only a few Nigerians who cornered the wealth of the nation adding,”we have to remove subsidy to prevent the country from going under “. Speaking further he called on those who lost election to approach the court adding that the extension of the retirement age of judges is part of measures to ensure justice and depeening democracy in the country. He enjoined those who lost election to embrace judicial means of seeking redress while they prepare for another election cycle.
