The outgoing 9th Senate has approved the request of President Bola Tinubu to allow him appoint 20 special advisers.
The President of the Senate, Ahmed Lawan read the request which was contained in a letter sent to the red chamber by Tinubu during plenary on Tuesday.
None of the appointees were named in the letter.
The motion was moved by Senate Leader, Senator Ibrahim Gobir and seconded by Senate Minority Leader, Senator Philip Aduda.
