Otti: How not to be publicity ‘crazy’

If I were media handlers of Governor …Otti of Abia State, moderation on media limelight is what I would have counseled. But unfortunately, I am not and cannot be because I am not an Abian.

To me, the freshly minted governor is beginning to hug the limelight too much to the annoyance of his distractions who are still looking for every available opportunity to push him down. Ala, the Kano Federal High Court example is still fresh.

They are, I mean, his opponents are beginning to be tired of seeing his face, apologies to the late Bo Marley. Otti should know how many times he contested for the post before God granted his prayers and ambition to govern Ndi Abia; and if I were him, I should face the work of governance like how to emacipate the state from the economic pit it has been led into by previous PDP governments,  begin what I have come to do just like another acclaimed singer late Fela Anikulapo-Kuti sang in one of his songs ‘let is begin what we have come into the room to do’ and not the doors to his private residence that he had flunged open for the likes of ….. that are visiting not for altruistic reasons but for what they can grab from the state.

The roll call of corporate Nigeria that had visited him since he was declared the winner of March 18 elections ranges from …. all of which his media people with his approval made a media event.

The most ‘laughable’ that show him in an earth moving tractor in the name of supervising the clean up of the states commercial nerve centre, Aba, a job he personally directed. He was seen on the wheels grinding like a ‘goat’ been dressed for ‘asu’ barbecue even before he made his critical kitchen appointment. And the question that came to is must be personally be at the site of the cleaning exercise. Was he doing it as a photops or to show the people that an action governor they have been waiting for has come?
