President Elect of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has arrived in Nigeria.
The president-elect, Bola Tinubu has returned to the country from a trip to France.
Tinubu arrived in Nigeria around 4:30 pm on Monday via the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, the country’s capital.
The president-elect had travelled out of the country after the March 18 governorship election.
Tinubu’s return was confirmed by his Director of Media and Publicity, Bayo Onanuga.
He was received at the Abuja International airport by the Vice President-elect, Kashim Shettima and some state governors.
Tweeting about his arrival, Onanuga wrote: “Jagaban lands in Abuja, Vice President elect Kashim Shettima and governors at the airport reception for President elect Tinubu.”
This put to rest weeks of speculations regarding his health status and whereabouts.
