Stop ethnic profiling, Martins urges Nigerians

Following ethnic sentiments and rancour which came about political diferences during and after the 2023 general elections, Catholic Archbishop of Lagos Most Rev (Dr) Alfred Adewale Martins has called on indigenes and residents of Lagos to live harmoniously thereby shunning all forms of ethnic and religious profiling.
Archbishop Martins stated this on Thursday at the Holy Cross Cathedral, Lagos during 2023 Chrism Mass.
“I want to use this opportunity to call on everyone to put a stop to ethnic profiling in Nigeria. Let us stop war of words both online and offline. We should not allow politicians to divide us., ” he said during his closing remark during the eucharistic celebration which had in attendance and lay faithfuls of the Archdiocese.

Speaking with journalists after the Mass, Archbishop Martins urged elected and appointed politicians to serve the masses without counting the cost of service.
