Is Sam Amadi capable of governing Imo? Ask FCC Jones

384

I have always raised my doubts about Dr. Sam Amadi’s capacity to drive a gubernatorial campaign in Imo State, especially, given the fact that we currently have a bully in Douglas House who is ready to do everything, to remain in power.

Sam Amadi has deliberately and I daresay, successfully, carved an image for himself as a “clean” and different kind of politician, but it is left to be seen how he succeeds in giving this race, the ride it needs.

Does FCC Jones not need help?

His affinity with some key members of the 3R coven in Imo State is also a source of concern. This does not disqualify him, but at a time when we have good evidence that Hope Uzodimma is sponsoring some friends to whittle down LP’s threat in Imo, it is concerning that one person who wants to fly the Party’s flag came out to do a damage control job for the controversy laden Deputy Speaker of IMHA over his alleged violent conduct during the House of Assembly election, which was said to have resulted to the shooting of a young man in Nwangele. Dr. Amadi categorically stated that Amarachi Iwuanyanwu didn’t do that, even without hearing from the victim or any member of his family.

While the Labour Party candidate for Imo West Senatorial district is still in court with what is largely seen as a good case against Izunaso’s declaration as Senator-elect, Sam Amadi, who wants to lead the same Labour Party in Imo State has made posts canvassing for Senator Osita Izunaso to be considered for the Senate presidency.

The two instances above are part of my reasons for doubting Sam Amadi’s suitability for the Labour Party ticket and a reason I quarrel with those who try to sell him as a Peter Obi replica in Imo State.

We will wait to see how this plays out finally, but there shouldn’t be any doubt that if I have a vote to cast at the LP governorship primaries, Sam Amadi won’t be getting it. Not because I hate him, but because I do not believe he has the energy, drive and the muscle to champion a campaign that will oust the dangerous man Douglas House.
