An Appeal Court judge, Justice James Abundaga, sitting in Abuja has dismissed the case brought by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Abubakar Atiku, seeking to nullify Kassim Shettima’s election as the Vice President of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed TInubu, the president-elect of the All Progressives Party (APC).
Why Atiku and Obi will loose court battles and Tinubu will remain President
The former vice president had gone to court on the grounds that Shettima has double nomination both as senatorial and vice presidential candidates.
It is a pre-election matter and the Court of Appeal has also determined that PDP has no locus standi to challenge same as it was not an aspirants in APC primaries.
