The Coalition for Regional Development and Good Governance (CRDGG) has solicited the support of Akwa Ibom State indigenes, especially those resident in Akwa Ibom North West Senatorial District for the Senatorial ambition of former Governor of the state, Senator Godswill Akpabio, during next year’s elections.

The Executive Director of the group, Attahiru Shiitu Samaho, made the appeal in Abuja.

He appealed to eligible voters to come out in numbers and vote for Akpabio in view of the massive projects he embarked upon while in office as a governor, senator and minister.

The group also reminded the people of the Senatorial District of the uncommon achievements of the former governor, where Akwa Ibom state was made a destination for all investors around the world.

The group disclosed that “the direction of the outcome of our opinion poll shows that he is a man who has all it takes to seamlessly represent the district in the the next Senate, based on his uncommon achievements as a governor, moving a backward state like Akwa Ibom from a mere level of a blue print at the time he took over, to a world class masterpiece, driven by a process known by all as “an uncommon transformation.”

He said the group was convinced that Senator Akpabio stands out with proven track records of achievements and still in the right frame of mind to replicate such at the senatorial level.

“We are therefore, using this platform to canvass votes for a trail blazer who has done it before for the state, senatorial district and the nation and will do it again as a second term Senator”.
