Nigerian contemporary artist Chidozie Oliver Maduka is set to unveil his much-anticipated virtual solo exhibition with art works being presented by Rele Gallery to audience, “Universal Light,” hosted by Rele Gallery Los Angeles from November 18th to November 25th, 2022.
Blending spirituality, identity, and cosmological themes, “Universal Light” marks a bold exploration of Maduka’s evolving photography visual language. Through evocative textures and celestial motifs, the exhibition delves into the human pursuit of enlightenment, healing, and transcendence — inviting audiences to reflect on the invisible energies that connect us across borders and beliefs.

This marks Maduka’s first solo exhibition with Rele Gallery in the United States, and it builds upon his growing international profile as a voice in contemporary African art. His work has previously been recognized for its introspective narratives and spiritual depth, bridging the metaphysical through an unmistakable visual photography style.
“Universal Light is an invitation to see beyond the surface — to witness the unseen, to connect with the divine, and to remember our shared inner brilliance,” says Maduka.
The virtual nature of the exhibition allows for global access, reinforcing the show’s themes of unity and shared human experience. Viewers from around the world can experience the full exhibition online and also physical attendance of guests.
