On my mind right now are the events of NFFG/NEGA 2022 and the Ehizoya Golden Entertainment Europe musical and culture tour which followed it .

It was also the 20th anniversary of the culture promotion company so everything got loaded in double portions.

2022: Nollywood Film Festival Germany gets boost as Nigerian Consul throws weight behind it

Events started on the 29 of July 2022 with film screenings at Film Forum Hoscht Frankfurt where three films Gbege. Tetteh Quashie and Son of mercy kept the diverse audience on their toes.

The climax was the well attended gala nite featuring
nollywood stars including Frederick Leonard, Uju okoli, Nancy Uche, renowned film makers Zeb Ejiro., Lancelot Oduwa imasuen, Queen Blessing Ebigieson and MC Aproko.

Also on hand to thrill were 24Bits with Edo sons of legends as well as Esan highlife music master Emperor Wadada.

On hand to savour the events were diplomats, captains of industry as well as distinguished Nigerians from all walks if life and their European friends.

Also there to record it for posterity was Nigerian born auto engineer Odijie Irabor of Irabtv.

The Euro summer tour that followed started right after the gala nite in Frankfurt with the train travelling to Dortmund, Dusseldorf, Munich as well as other cities in Italy. Austria, France, Spain, Belgium etc.

During the tours, the reception by Nigerian Europe based fans was awesome just as the sight of Nollywood stars and the performances by Edo sons of Legends and Emperor Wadada were superlative.

The last show in the 2 months of Euro cruise will go down this weekend in Belgium with Edo sons of Legends causing entertainment commotion.

Asked to make a summary of how the events went as compared to other tours, cultural Ambassador Isaac Izoya said “20 years anniversary of Ehizoya Golden Entertainment was a grand success as far as I am concerned.

“It had the greatest number of guests like never before: 22 artistes and stakeholders were on hand from Nigeria. I note that there were things that did not go the way they were planned and also there were things that happened better than they were planned.

“I only have to give the highest glory to God for giving us the ideas and the strength to pull them through.
I thank our fans and all those who have always supported our plans to entertain Nigerians in far away lands since 20 years now. I thank Nigerian Consulate General in Frankfurt, Ambassador Akande. I thank you all as words can’t express how I feel.
However, let me just say it like we always do…the show must go on.
