At the time, he was more or less the production Lord around Enugu, onitsha, Aba, Umuahia with hands in almost every musical pie that couldn’t find its way into the big far away market of Tabansi, Emi, polygram etc.

Before then. He had worked with Manford Best and the super wings, The Doves, Semi Colon and even had a stint with Fela amongst others.

Ngon later formed several bands in Enugu including the Drive Band before setting up Akombi studios where the nurturing of many of Nigerian stars of today began including J martins, Tuface, Flavour, and many others.

Today, Ngon is engaged in deep thinking on the ethnology of African music and culture in his home country.

He also still runs a studio in Yaounde because in his words “music runs in my veins. I can’t even run away from it. Music took me far away from home. I am trying to discourage my children from it but they won’t listen. One of my daughters is currently in the studio while the other is engaged in writing. My grandchildren are also showing so much signs towards showbiz and music.”

Here is just to hail a guy who did big things and yet to stop doing.
