Says Buhari’s regime is a disaster for Nigeria
….President has no intention to change Nigeria.
Vice presidential candidate of the Labour Party,LP, Senator Yusuff Datti-Ahmed has said that if voted into power,the government will defend every inch of Nigerias land from ravaging bandits and terrorists which has made Nigeria insecure.
Speaking in an interview of Channels Television, Sunrise Television said the government will put in place measures that will guarantee safety in all parts of the country to enable farmers return to the farms and produce more food for the country.
“We will account for every inch and stretch of land in Nigeria and nobody will come and harass anybody in any part of the country to disposes them of their land and means of lifelihood”.
He said that the government will recruit more personnel into the security forces and ensure that money for procuring equipment were judiciously spent.
Senator Datti-Ahmed said that contrary to his promise before being elected, President Muhammadu Buhari has refused to effect any change in the country instead has compounded the security and social problem of the country.
Said he,”Buhari is a disaster for Nigeria in all aspects of human life.
In answer to a question,the economist said that he distanced himself from President Buhari in the then Congress for Progressive Change,CPC, when he discovered that the mind set of Buhari is probe to violence having instructed people to lynch voters.
This attitude he said was repeated in 2018 when he gave armed forces power to deal ruthlessly with ballot box snatchers contrary to the provision of the nations constitution.
As part of the strategy to win the support of the North during next year’s election,he said the people are being reoriented to know that those who they follow are living a better life than before they got to power.
“We have been telling them that their misery of today is as a result of the fact that their leaders life style has changed from those who can rescue them from their predicament.Their predicament today is a function of the attitude of the messiah’s they have been following”.
“A situation where those who beg money to return to their villages when they come to Abuja has now become millionaires overnight is a function of what the people they voted for has done with their life . This is unacceptable and we have been educating them to stop following this leaders.
He said that for today the country is seriously sick and needs a medical doctor to urgently heal and liberate her from illness and poverty.
“This is the time to heal Nigeria and all efforts must be made to do that”.
In answer to a question he contended that what Nigeria has today is relative poverty cause by inability of farmers to asses their farms due to insecurity of the country.
According to him,the Presidential candidate of the party,Peter Obi declaration that the North being the food basket of Nigeria is better place to replace dependence on oil,is a reality.
As a measure to reduce insecurity,he said his government will recruit more policemen and other security outfits adding that money meant for procuring equipments will be judiciously spent to achieve the desired effect.
