Protesters in their hundreds have taken over the premises of the National Assembly on Wednesday to demand an immediate resolution of the crisis between the Federal Government and the Academic Staff Union of Universities.

The protesters are however not protesting against continued closure of nations tertiary institutions, they are demanding an end to economic hardship.
The Nigerian Labour Congress had on Tuesday commenced a three day protest in solidarity with the ASUU.
