“We need to “fi oju sunukun wo oro sunnukun”. The Imam is the Imam of the notorious Apo village where he holds religious court over the “legislooters” the dishonorable inhabitants. He is learned and very much informed and aware of the precarious trajectory his congregation was taking us. Pray, where was their Imam when they were gerrymandering on the matter of restructuring for years on end? He knew a peaceful and progressive Nigeria can’t be born from the womb of Alimanjeri system and the iniquitous 1999 constitution. He is vocal and rebellious when we all start to reap the whirlwind from the wind they sowed diligently over the years!!
My concern is that we are all in it regardless of our unheeded efforts to blaze another trail.
We should not in the middle of this fail to see clearly that we need self defense, in fact self help!! Let us put our house in order to face squarely the revamping of our education, spend whatever little we have on health, exploitation of other resources within our reach and close the gates to too many intruders. We need not join the frenzy of fiddling on the rooftop when the house is already on fire.
