The bullion van riddled with bullet
It was a bloody day in Ibadan the Oyo State capital on Thursday as armed men laid ambush for a bullion van and killed some of the police escorts.
It was gathered that the van had just left one of the new generation banks around Gate area of the metropolis.
The armed men reportedly caught up with the van at the Idi Ape area towards Bashorun when they opened fire on the occupants of the van and the police escort car.
As at the time of filing this report, there was no statement from the police.
It could not be confirmed how many policemen and others were hit as the robbers shot sporadically into the area to scare any other persons away.
