Pope Francis Appoints Nigerian as Envoy to UN, World Trade

The Vatican on Sunday announced a Nigerian, Archbishop Fortunas Nwachukwu as representative of the Holy See to the United Nations in Geneva.

A statement by the Catholic Church on Sunday said Nwachukwu will also concurrently serve in same capacity to the International Migration Organization.

The statement a copy of which was obtained by the NPO Reports read:
Press Release – Pope Francis, has appointed Apostolic Nuncio to the Antilles, Archbishop Fortunatus Nwachukwu, to the Permanent Observer of the Holy See to the United Nations Office and Specialized Institutions in Geneva, as well as the Permanent Observer to the World Trade Organization (WTO) and the Representative of the Holy See to the International Migrations Organization (IOM).
