Parents of students who are suspected to have taken part in the beating and torturing of 12-year-old student of Dowen College, Sylvester Oromoni, are being accused of taking them out of the country to evade arrest and prosecution.

Concerned parents say it is suspicious why the authorities of the college never raised the alarm after the death of the student and why the matter was not reported to the police immediately.

A parent, Mrs. Deborah Okezie, alleged that the children who allegedly committed the act are being flown out of the country, she advised the parents of Oromoni not to relent until justice is done.

Mrs. Okezie is the mother of Don Davis Achipong, who was molested at a Deeper Life School in Akwa Ibom.

She has fought till the end when the principal and others in the school were remanded in prison custody on Friday.

“Those children that you fly abroad, Sylvester would torment them until they are brought to book. Sylvester died, you the parents flew your own abroad. You went and hide your own. It is Sylvester who should die while your own should live. Sylvester’s blood would hunt them,” Mrs. Okezie said in an instagram post obtained by the NPO Reports.

She advised the parents of Oromoni to pursue the case until justice is achieved.
