The family celebration took place at her residence inside the Redeemed Christian Church of God,RCCG ,camp along Lagos Ibadan expressway
Olori Lipede,it will be recalled got married to late Oba Lipede in 1973 a year after he ascended the throne in 1972.

Her only child, Adeluola,it was also learnt was with her mother from the bedroom, through the road and the hospital where Doctors confirmed her dead.

It was also learnt that many people who came to rejoice with the late Olori Bimpe Lipede did not actually know what was going on and did not see her taken to hospital as it was quietly done.

Olori Lipede who was converted by Pastor Adeboye was influential to the late Oba Oyebade Lipede being ‘born again’ before his death and for a branch of the Redeemed Christain Church of God being planted within the Ake Palace ground in Abeokuta.
Newdawnngr.com sources revealed that the Lipede family was planning to hand over some of the houses in the late monarchs estate at Obantoko area of Abeokuta to the RCCG to be used for evangelism at a later date after the Olori birthday celebration,a vow she never kept.
The late Olori it was learnt was until her death very close to the RCCG family and especially the General Overseer,Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye.
Pastor Adeboye it was learnt kept in close touch with the late Olori .

However,as at the time of filling this report,it could not be confirmed whether Pastor Adeboye had been informed of Olori Lipede’s death at 1900 hours Nigerian time.

In his response, a former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank, Tunde Lemo who was devastated by her death sent this to the family.

“So so sad!

I worked under her as a student on vacation job in July-Sept 1981. She was then an Officer in First Bank, Imo Abeokuta. She was very pleasant and accommodating! She showed special interest in young people and encouraged us.

Oloro Lipede

I later got closer to her when I became an adult. She influenced the location of RCCG inside Ake Palace and she and the late Kabiyesi were highly respected by Pastor EA Adeboye. We shall miss her.

Adieu my good auntie, a lover of Christ

Olori Lipede’s brother, Samuel Orija who broke the news to his colleagues of the old Ogun State Polytechnic where he was a pioneer student with them wrote: “With heavy heart and total submission to the will of God, I announce the death of my aunt, Olori Monsurat Bimpe Lipede JP. Please join us to pray for the repose of her soul. Adieu sister. Dipo Orija JP.”

His colleagues had been plastering the platform with condolence messages since.

In his comment,a friend of the Olori Rev Eniola Olatunji ,publisher of Patmosmedia said Olori Lipede and her late friend, Funmilola Adelaja wanted him to work at the Frist Bank from the UI Press but he chose to move to OGBC in April 1979. “Very amiable auntie to us. She was fondly called 11/11 at the bank because she was born on 11th November. Ha! God comfort Adeluola.”

Eniola Olatunji’s junior brother, Seun Kassim who worked with Olori Lipede was heartbroken when the news was broken to him as he was close to the olori and late Mrs. Funmilola Adelaja.

In an interview late Thursday evening, Samuel Orija ,her security adviser told Newdawnngr.com that the late Olori showed no signs of stress before she suddenly complained of fatigue.
Orija told our reporter that the late Olori merely excuse her guests to attend to herself in the bedroom from where she was later taken to the hospital.

Oloro Lipede had been a wonderful, peace loving and very supportive person. When I served Kabiyesi Alake as Private Secretary/Admin. Manager, she gave me and my colleagues moral and financial support. May her gentle soul rest in perfect peace. Adieu Mama.
