For the residents of Paramount estate and environs situated along the Oke Aro-Marogbun axis,Saturday September 25th torrential rain brought with it Pains,Agony and Distress that may leave with them for a long time:
The Scenarios-
1. On Saturday, 25th of September, 2021, during the heavy rainfalls of the afternoon, two electricity polls that were very badly erected collapsed and rendered the residents of Sunday Fagbohun street and the streets around the place popularly known as Oluwo Gate(Ojodu, towards Custom road) inside Arolambo area of Oke-Aro without power supply and in a life & death threatening zone.
The IKEDC were prompt to respond to the emergency. They taped off the areas and begun repair works almost immediately.
2. There was a general outage as a result of other faults with the 33KV line from Oke-Aro to TCN to Olambe injection substation. It’s great to report that the technical team of the IKEDC have been on ground to rectify the faults.
