Only in Nigeria: Armed robbers hijack Igboho’s case file from DSS

In Nigeria wonders shall never end.
The Department of State Security on Wednesday exposed one of the wonders of our system when it claimed that a case file for the four aides of Sunday Adeyemo (Sunday Igboho) was stolen by armed robbers.

DSS lawyer, I. Awo, told the court that the official bringing the file containing the fundamental human rights application before Justice Obiora Egwuatu had entered “one chance”, the popular in-motion robbery operations along Abuja roads while the files were taken away from him.

He said the officials lost other personal belongings after he was robbed.

The counsel therefore applied for an adjournment of the case.

It will be recalled that four out of the twelve aides of Igboho are still being detained by the DSS after the release of eight who were all arrested at the residence of the Yoruba Nation agitator in his Ibadan residence.

This was just as the DSS filed Terrorism charges against two of the aides at the Federal High court on Wednesday.

The charges which had earlier been filed on August 31, were against Amudat Babatunde and Noah Oyetunji.

This is coming more than two months after their arrests at the residence of the activist in Ibadan.

One of his aides was killed during the raid.
